Hi guys, here is my little project which help photographers and  other art people to display their works.

Project based on PicasaFlexAPI and displays photos posted on Google Picasa with nice GUI and with some extra features.

How does it work:

To start working with Picasa Portfolio you need first to have own web page, where you can upload SWF files.

Then you need to create your own html page or embed Picasa Portfolio into existing one.

Because there is nothing like that supplied with Flex 3, I decided to make my own little component.

Here is the simple example which illustrate possiblity using something similar to colspan in AdvancedDagaGrid:

Here is the short example how to close all popups in one function.

It is very easy, but one rule shoul be followed - all popups shoul implement interface which contains single method.

When you deploy your application online you actually unable to debug it properly, hard to see messages and any other outputs, except Alerts. Luckily I've found Firefox extension which can help me a lot. FlashTracer is project of Alessandro Crugnola, http://www.sephiroth.it. FlashTracer is very intuitive and easy to set up.

Picasa Flex API allows Flex developers to develop rich, multimedia enhanced Flex / AIR application based on Google Picasa. The core of the library is service which work with Google Data Service.

Features implemented in PocasaFlexAPI:
* Work only with public albums
* Ability to get all albums by user.
* Ability to get list of photos by album name
* Ability to get list of photos by album ID
* Ability to get photo by ID
* Ability to search community photos by custom search term

Google Picasa is a very interesting service which I use and like very much!

Today, 25 February , Adobe release its long waited Flex 3 SDK to public. First of all version will be open source which is very important for Flex developing public because it can make Flex extremely popular. Also If you go to adobe bug tracker you will see hundreds of bugs fixed, this fact makes me very happy and excited.
